Breeder Technician Advisor I- Center,TX- 1st shift

Job Details: Summary: The Breeder Tech position at Tyson Foods is responsible for providing technical assistance to producers in caring for the company's birds, ensuring their proper care and comfort. This role involves a variety of responsibilities to support and enhance the management and health of the flock. Key Responsibilities: • Advise producers on building and equipment specifications, litter manipulation, and farm sanitation practices. • Conduct farm visits to document bird comfort, flock management, and equipment settings. • Direct feed and light schedules to optimize bird health and production. • Monitor bird health, egg production, body weight, and conformation, and provide remedies when necessary. • Track feed consumption and pull blood and fat samples as required. • Coordinate bird placements to farms and assist with catch schedules. • Facilitate communication between hatchery, feed mill, vaccination crews, and live haul regarding contract farms. • Ensure compliance with production contracts to produce high-quality flocks at the lowest cost. • Adhere to all USDA and other government regulations when handling poultry. • Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor. Requirements: • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred. • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience. • Computer Skills: Basic computer skills required. • Travel: 1 to 5 trips per year. • Other: Must have a valid Driver's License and a clean driving record.
