Senior Information Security Analyst

Senior Information Security Analyst: On behalf of our public retirement system client, Procom is searching for a Senior Information Security Analyst for a permanent role. This position is a hybrid position with 2 to 3 days onsite at our client’s Austin, Texas office. Senior Information Security Analyst - Job Description: The Senior Information Security Analyst will join the Information Services Team to ensure the protection and confidentiality of informational assets. This role involves setting and monitoring security standards, coordinating security incident response plans, and supporting third-party security assessments. Senior Information Security Analyst - Responsibilities: • Monitor for, respond to, and document security and fraud-related events. • Provide fraud incident response and coordinate with other departmental teams. • Coordinate the execution of security incident response plans and processes. • Initiate threat hunting activities and support third-party security assessments. • Recommend and improve security configurations and assist in developing standard operating procedures. • Produce reports on systems, threat landscape, and security posture. • Participate in cross-departmental security-related projects and advocate for information security. Senior Information Security Analyst - Mandatory Skills: • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information security, or related field with a minimum of 5 years of IT security experience. • Experience with cloud security tools, firewall, IPS, WAF, SIEM, and EDR technologies. • Skilled in fraud monitoring and investigation. • Certification in CISSP, ECIH, CHFI, CEH, GSEC, GCIH, GCFE, or GPEN. • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills. • Ability to handle confidential information appropriately. • Excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Senior Information Security Analyst – Nice-to-Have Skills: • Experience with vulnerability management and phishing solutions. • Familiarity with fraud analytics tools. • Ability to make decisions with limited and conflicting information. • Experience in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities. • Initiative in conducting detail-oriented problem solving.
