About the position The Department Leader at McDonald's is responsible for overseeing specific departments within the restaurant, ensuring that operations run smoothly and that customers receive a fast, accurate, and friendly experience. This role involves managing systems such as Training, Food Safety, and Inventory Management, while also leading teams to achieve sales and service goals. Responsibilities • Lead shifts to ensure fast, accurate, and friendly customer service. , • Manage assigned systems such as Training, Food Safety, and Inventory Management. , • Set goals and delegate tasks to team members. , • Ensure Crew and Managers deliver a great customer experience. , • Oversee sales promotions and ensure service staff are trained in procedures. , • Organize Front Counter, McCafé, and Drive-Thru areas for optimal service. , • Ensure the restaurant delivers quality food quickly and safely. , • Control food costs and train kitchen staff in production procedures. , • Hire qualified crew and ensure they are well-trained and scheduled effectively. Requirements • Previous managerial experience preferred, ideally in a restaurant, retail, or hospitality environment. , • Must be 18 years or older to be a manager in corporate-owned restaurants. , • Open availability is required for Department Leaders. , • Positive team player with a passion for working in a fast-paced environment.
