Electrical Apprentice

About the position The Electrical Apprentice position at Vanguard Maintenance & Electrical, Inc. offers a unique opportunity for individuals to kickstart their careers in the electrical trade. This full-time apprenticeship allows candidates to gain hands-on experience while assisting seasoned professionals in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems. The role emphasizes learning and development within a supportive environment, aiming to equip apprentices with the skills necessary to become certified electricians. Responsibilities • Assist experienced electricians in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and wiring. , • Learn and follow electrical code regulations and safety standards. , • Perform basic tasks such as measuring, cutting, and bending conduit. , • Help with roughing in electrical and BMS systems, including pulling wire and installing fixtures. , • Support the installation of low-voltage systems, such as fire alarms, security, and data systems. , • Ensure tools and materials are organized and readily available for the job. , • Maintain a clean and safe work environment on all job sites. , • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to complete tasks efficiently. Requirements • High school diploma or equivalent. , • Willingness to learn and grow within the electrical trade. , • Basic understanding of electrical principles (preferred but not required). , • Strong work ethic, punctuality, and attention to detail. , • Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team. , • Comfortable working in various environments, including outdoors and at heights. , • Physical ability to lift, carry, and move heavy objects, and work in confined spaces. , • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. , • Must be able to pass a background check and drug test.
