We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Grant Writer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in government grant contract. PRoposal writing and technical writing, with the ability to craft compelling narratives that effectively communicate our organization's mission and goals. This role is crucial for securing funding through various grants and contracts, requiring excellent proofreading skills and a strategic approach to grant applications. Responsibilities Research and identify potential funding sources, including government agencies, foundations, and corporations. Write, edit, and submit grant proposals that align with organizational objectives. Develop budgets and financial reports to accompany grant proposals. Manage the contract process, ensuring compliance with all requirements. Maintain databases of grant opportunities and submissions for tracking purposes. Collaborate with program staff to gather necessary information for proposals. Proofread all written materials to ensure clarity, accuracy, and adherence to guidelines. Assist in strategic planning efforts related to funding initiatives. Requirements Proven experience in proposal writing and technical writing. Strong proofreading skills with an eye for detail. Familiarity with contract management processes is preferred. Experience with budgeting for grant proposals is essential. Ability to work with databases related to grant tracking and management. Knowledge of Raiser Edge or similar fundraising software is a plus. Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and persuasively. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
