Overview

Five-attorney, well-established San Angelo law office seeks a part-time bookkeeper. Hours should be no more than 15-25/week and are flexible. Accounting degree preferred. Hourly compensation range of $25-35, depending on education and experience. Health insurance is not provided. Duties • Prepare and maintain accurate journal entries to record financial transactions. • Perform account reconciliations, including bank reconciliations, to ensure accuracy in financial reporting. • Manage the general ledger accounting process, ensuring all entries are recorded correctly. • Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly. • Process payroll accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations. • Utilize financial software, such as QuickBooks, for efficient bookkeeping operations. • Process client billing and pay firm bills. • Maintain organized financial records and documentation for audits and reviews. Experience • Proven experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a related field is preferred. • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online is highly desirable. • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel. • Familiarity with journal entries, account reconciliation, bank reconciliation, general ledger accounting, account analysis, and payroll processing. • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills are essential for managing multiple tasks effectively. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a law firm environment.
