Accounts Payable Clerk

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Clerk to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing the company's financial transactions, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards. This position requires a strong understanding of accounts payable processes and familiarity with various accounting software. Duties • Process and verify invoices for payment, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies. • Maintain accounts payable records, including vendor files and payment history. • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner. • Utilize accounting software such as Sage 100 for efficient processing of transactions. • Support governmental accounting requirements as needed. Qualifications • Proven experience in accounts payable or a related financial role. • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify discrepancies and resolve issues effectively. • Proficient in using accounting software . • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. • Effective communication skills to liaise with vendors and internal departments.
