Description Logistics: About Us | BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina Location: This position is hybrid (2-3 days a week in office) at 4101 Percival Road, Columbia, SC 29229. What You’ll Do • Screen applications to ensure accuracy of data entered into system and updates system with status of pending applications. Uses underwriting guidelines to make initial decisions to approve, decline, or assign received applications. Analyzes, rates, and processes new business proposals according to established guidelines. • Provide quality customer service, responding accurately and timely to telephone and written inquiries from customers. • Assist in establishing and maintaining written procedures for underwriting review. Prepares departmental reporting as needed. • Prepare stop loss proposals and forwards to stop loss carriers for quotes. To Qualify For This Position, You'll Need The Following Required Work Experience: No experience required Required Education: Bachelor's Degree Degree Equivalency: Four (4) years job related work experience or Associate's and 2 years job related work experience.
