What You'll Do
As a member of Viasats fast-paced Test Engineering Team, you will work with the test team to work closely with the product design team to interpret module requirements and turn them into corresponding Qualification and Certification Test Scripts. The day-to-day Day to day effort includes reading and reviewing top level requirements to ensure they are concise, testable, and realistic. Generating automated test procedures to demonstrate compliance to these requirements. Using python to automate both the execution of tests as well as the test procedure and test report documentation. Collaboration with product design engineers (HW, SW, FPGA Logic, & Systems). Flexible and open environment that encourages you to craft and run your own test scripts and test ideas. What You'll Need Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related subject area 6+ years experience with networking (TCP, UDP, Multicast, etc.) and network devices. Must be a United States Citizen Active United States Secret Clearance Knowledge and experience with a programming or scripting language, preferably Python or other Object-Oriented language. (i.e. C/C++, Python, Perl, or other) Familiarity with Linux / Ubuntu operating systems This is an onsite role located in one of the following locations: Carlsbad, CA, Marlborough, MA, or Linthicum Heights, MD. For specific work locations within San Jose, the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, the base pay range for this role is $125,500.00- $188,500.00/ annually At Viasat, we consider many factors when it comes to compensation, including the scope of the position as well as your background and experience. Base pay may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
