We are looking for a highly-organized and detail-oriented Claims Processor to join the team at BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina. In this role, you will help ensure a smooth and efficient claims processing system.The ideal candidate for this position will have a comprehensive understanding of the claims processing process, the ability to multi-task, and excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. If you have a knack for problem-solving and are looking to join a supportive, collaborative team, then we would love to hear from you.To be considered for this position, you must have a high school diploma or an equivalent certification. Previous experience in claims processing or a related field is a plus. Responsibilities: Process a high volume of claims in an accurate and timely manner. Utilize an efficient system to ensure that all claims are handled in accordance with company policies and procedures. Follow up with third-party payers to ensure proper and timely payment of claims. Maintain accurate records of all claims processed. Update customer accounts with relevant information regarding claims. Assist customers with any inquiries or issues related to their claims. Provide excellent customer service and support to customers. Troubleshoot and resolve any claims processing issues. Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure an efficient claims processing system. Stay up to date with industry regulations and standards.
