Business Analyst I - SQL

About the position As a Business Analyst I at Centene Corporation, you will play a crucial role in transforming the health of our communities by performing various analyses and interpretations that link business needs and objectives for your assigned function. Your primary responsibility will be to support business initiatives through comprehensive data analysis, identifying implementation barriers, and conducting user acceptance testing of new systems. You will be tasked with identifying and analyzing user requirements, procedures, and problems to enhance existing processes, ensuring that our operations align with state Medicaid and federal defined service level agreements. In this role, you will perform detailed analyses on assigned projects, recommend potential business solutions, and assist with their implementation. You will also manage small to medium development enhancements in collaboration with an IT team, ensuring that business requirements are met effectively. A significant part of your job will involve pulling required data sets for requests, rejections, or reports from SQL and Oracle database servers. Additionally, you will analyze data using various Excel attributes, including pivot tables, slicers, and power queries, while demonstrating familiarity with basic Excel formulas. Responsibilities

  • Perform various analysis and interpretation to link business needs and objectives for assigned function

  • Identify and analyze user requirements, procedures, and problems to improve existing processes

  • Manage inventory in alignment with state Medicaid/Federal defined Service level Agreements

  • Provide business requirements and manage small to medium development/enhancements with an IT team

  • Pull required data set for requests, rejections or reports from SQL and Oracle database Servers

  • Analyze data using various Excel attributes like pivot, slicers, power query etc.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience

  • 0-2 years of business process analysis or data analysis experience

,

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Applications, including Excel and Access preferred

,

  • Project management experience preferred
