Drilling Rig Hand / Roughneck THI Water Well has been serving the North Texas area since 1981. Our specialty is drilling and servicing large and deep diameter water wells for municipalities/cities, rig supply/oil companies, corporations, farms/ranches, irrigation, and builders. We work with, and are trusted by, a number of engineering firms. We are currently seeking self-motivated and mechanically inclined individuals to fill our Drilling Rig Hand position. Drilling Rig Hand / Roughneck position is an experienced position whose main job function is to assist the water well driller or operator. The Drilling Rig Hand / Roughneck position includes the following job duties:
- Mix mud and work on pumps
- Be able to complete tasks without the direct supervision of the driller
- Experienced with mud systems
- Performing routine maintenance on machines and equipment
- Operate Heavy Equipment as needed
- Perform daily safety checks
- Assist the driller in preparing for all operations
- Ensuring rig is properly equipped and maintained
- Maintaining accurate and in-depth drilling notes
- Ensuring the well site is clean and orderly
- Following all safety guidelines and reporting issues as needed
- All other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Prior drilling experience (water well or oilfield) required. 1-2 years.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 100 pounds
- Must be willing to travel to job sites throughout the state of Texas, including daily reasonable travel radius
- 10% overnight travel
- Must be willing to work longer shifts and overtime as needed
Job Type: Full-Time Primary Reporting Locations: Bowie or Pilot Point Pay: $18 per hour Starting Pay, $1 increase after first 90-days. CDL drivers start at $19 per hour with $1 increase after first 90-days. Benefits:
