Receptionist/Administrative Assistant

We are looking for a competent Administrative Assistant/Receptionist to help with the organization and running of the daily administrative operations of our insurance agency. The ideal candidate will be a hard-working professional able to undertake a variety of office support tasks and work diligently under pressure. This person will be comfortable working with a high degree of attention to detail and discretion as well as incorporating new and effective ways to achieve better results. Most of all, we are looking for a candidate with a heart of service.

Responsibilities

  • Manage incoming calls
  • Identify and assess customers’ needs to achieve satisfaction
  • Provide accurate, valid and complete information by using the right methods/tools
  • Keep records of customer interactions, process customer accounts and file documents (mostly digital)
  • Follow communication procedures, guidelines and policies
  • Take the extra mile to engage customers

Skills

  • Proven experience as a back-office assistant, office assistant, or in another relevant administrative role
  • Must be proficient in typing
  • Working knowledge of office equipment
  • Thorough understanding of office management procedures
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Analytical abilities and aptitude in problem-solving
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Outlook, Excel
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and practices
  • Insurance license is not mandatory, but extremely helpful
  • Ability to pass insurance exam within six months of hire
