Home Delivery Pharmacy Technician - Remote in Illinois or Iowa

About the position As a Pharmacy Technician - Home Delivery at Optum, you will play a crucial role in improving health outcomes by connecting patients with the necessary care and resources. This position involves interpreting prescriptions, managing order entries, and providing exceptional customer service while working in a supportive team environment. You will also contribute to operational improvements and assist in training, all while adhering to state regulations and company policies. Responsibilities • Interpret providers' prescriptions and create orders as permitted by state regulation. , • Assess, input, and retrieve prescription, medical/lab, and reimbursement information from the computer system. , • Assist with operations support, training, and process improvements. , • Contribute to updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and team content. , • Demonstrate handling both inbound and outbound member/patient calls. , • Prep and scan documents, verify member/patient data, and submit prescription orders in the computer system. , • Contact members/patients/providers to validate data, request payment information, and establish order or delivery priorities. , • Identify solutions to non-standard requests and solve moderately complex problems independently. , • Plan, prioritize, organize, and complete work to meet established objectives. , • Provide an exceptional customer experience with every interaction. Requirements • High School Diploma/GED (or higher). , • Active National Pharmacy Technician Certification (ExCPT or PTCB) or ability to obtain prior to start date. , • 1+ years of experience working in a retail pharmacy. , • Reside in Illinois or Iowa.
