Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated Small Business Underwriter to become a key member of our team. In this position, you will focus on underwriting commercial trucking insurance, contributing to the development and management of a lucrative book of business. Your role will involve analyzing risk, determining pricing strategies, and making informed underwriting decisions while nurturing strong relationships with agents and insured clients. This role offers a hybrid work arrangement, allowing you to work three days in the office and two days remotely. Key Responsibilities • Evaluate and underwrite commercial trucking insurance policies, ensuring alignment with the company's profitability and growth objectives. • Assess risk and determine pricing, while issuing endorsements as necessary. • Maintain and enhance a book of business by adhering to sound underwriting practices. • Cultivate trusted partnerships with agents and insured clients through effective relationship-building techniques. • Engage in a comprehensive training program that includes mentorship, classroom instruction, and self-study.
