Affordable Compliance Specialist The Compliance Specialist is responsible for reviewing Affordable Housing applications and ensuring they are eligible and compliant with applicable and current regulatory requirements. This is a hybrid role that provides the opportunity to work from home and requires travel across the portfolio as needed. Essential Duties & Responsibilities • The review of Affordable Housing resident files for eligibility and compliance with all required laws. • Review the files based on information presented by the applicants and ensure review of files within 24 hours of receiving. • Adherence to all policies and procedures as set forth in the personnel manual. • Monitoring changes in LIHTC regulations and requirements and implementing modifications as indicated. • Attendance at TDHCA trainings annually. The requirement to attend HCCP training within the first two years of employment and include a passing score on the exam to receive the HCCP designation. • Participates in all tax credit reviews by outside entities. • Travel Requirement: This position entails travel, estimated at 50% of work time annually. Travel may be required for property visits, conferences, training sessions, or other business-related activities. Education & Experience • Individuals in this position should possess strong organizational skills and a detail-oriented approach. • Strong computer literacy skills are essential to this position, including RealPage Onesite Tax Credit software. • Housing Credit Certified Professional certification a plus. If not already certified, the requirement to attend HCCP training within the first 2 years of employment and include a passing score on the exam. • Knowledge of the HUD program is a plus. • Good verbal and written communication skills are also required.
