About the position We are looking for an e-commerce accountant with CPA to join our team and take ownership of managing monthly financial closings and providing US GAAP-compliant bookkeeping. The ideal candidate is experienced in QuickBooks Online (QBO), e-commerce financial operations with Shopify/A2X, and financial reconciliation and reporting. Details The role is a remote part-time position, with a 20-30 hours/month workload, flexible working hours and occasional overlap with the US team. Responsibilities • Manage bookkeeping, day-to-day accounting tasks, including reconciling Shopify sales through tools like A2X into QuickBooks Online. • Record journal entries and maintain the general ledger to ensure accurate and up-to-date financial records. • Reconcile bank accounts, payment gateway transactions (such as PayPal), and inventory. • Coordinate with international accounting team on inventory management and transfer pricing. • Prepare, review, and deliver US GAAP-compliant financial statements on time. • Conduct monthly and year-end closings, ensuring accurate reporting of financial data. • Perform self-reviews for accuracy and identify areas for improvement. • Review company books for tax planning opportunities. Requirements • Bachelor degree in Accounting, CPA is required. • 2+ years of experience in ecommerce financial operation with Shopify. • Experience with QuickBooks. • Experience in e-commerce bookkeeping. • Excellent communication skills to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders. • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in financial reporting. • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced startup environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
