VP Digital Banking

About the position Our financial client is seeking a Vice President (VP) of Digital Banking to lead and drive strategies within the deposit operations as they establish a new area within their treasury and finance organization. This role requires a seasoned leader with a strong background in the financial industry, particularly in deposit operations. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in senior management or leadership roles, demonstrating the ability to create and implement effective strategies. The VP will work closely with Senior Vice Presidents (SVPs) to develop strategic initiatives that align with the bank's goals related to deposit banking. This position is critical as it involves significant collaboration with product owners and requires a hands-on approach to managing the operational functions of the Digital Bank. The VP will be responsible for overseeing a team of product owners who execute the Digital Bank initiatives. This includes ensuring that the team effectively manages defects, bugs, and enhancements, which necessitates coordination with both internal and external teams that possess varying levels of technological understanding. The role also involves managing the Core Banking Systems and their configuration to develop new or support existing deposit products, services, and features. The VP will directly manage a high-performing deposit operations team, ensuring compliance with relevant rules, regulations, and best practices. Establishing key performance metrics to monitor and improve team performance will also be a crucial aspect of this role. Candidates should possess a technical and analytical background, with a preference for those who have experience in product ownership. Familiarity with Agile methodologies is essential, as is a strong understanding of the financial regulations that govern the industry. The ability to drive strategy through data analysis is a key requirement. Additionally, experience with tools such as Finxact or Savana is considered a plus. The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, taking initiative and ownership of their strategies without needing constant guidance from the SVPs, who maintain a hands-off management style. This role is pivotal in supporting the rapid growth of Credit One and ensuring the Digital Bank meets its operational goals. Responsibilities • Work with Senior leadership to develop strategic initiatives that align with the Bank's goals as it relates to deposit banking. , • Manage the Product Owners who execute the Digital Bank initiatives. , • Ensure the Digital Bank team is successfully managing defects, bugs, and enhancements, coordinating with internal and external teams. , • Manage the Core Banking Systems and their configuration to develop new or support existing deposit products, services, and/or features. , • Directly manage a high-performing deposit operations team. , • Ensure deposit operations are compliant with rules, regulations, and best practices. , • Establish key metrics to measure and monitor performance to identify underperformance or opportunities for improvement. Requirements • 5+ years of experience in senior management or leadership role within the financial industry, specifically in deposit operations. , • Technical and analytical background with product ownership experience preferred. , • Strong leadership experience with familiarity in deposit operations. , • Experience working with financial regulations relevant to the banking industry. , • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
