Bodily Injury Large Loss Adjuster - National General

About the position The Lead Consultant, or complex casualty adjuster, is responsible for the management and oversight of the most complex and severe bodily injury claims within the organization. This role involves evaluating high exposure claims with policy limits exceeding $250,000, including excess policies up to $20 million. The adjuster will handle large loss bodily injury claims throughout their lifecycle, from initial reporting to trial, ensuring effective litigation handling and collaboration with defense counsel. Responsibilities • Reviews coverage, liability, and/or damages on the most complex bodily injury cases with severe injury triggers and policy limits of $250,000 and greater. , • Ensures excellent litigation handling with appropriate defense on large loss cases. , • Addresses the most complex coverage issues. , • Responsible for the evaluation and settlement of high value, high risk and high complexity claims. , • Manage a diverse inventory of commercial vehicle, personal auto and homeowner's claims, with specific emphasis on large loss bodily injuries. , • Responsible for the partnership with defense counsel to ensure quality outcomes for insureds in the resolution of bodily injury claims. , • Collaborates with Frontline Performance Experts, Leaders, and Claim Process Specialists to share experience and trends identified in referred cases. Requirements • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent. , • 5 or more years of related experience. , • Applies highly advanced knowledge of insurance policy, coverage, and regulation. , • Applies highly advanced knowledge of claim processes, policies, procedures, claim systems, coverage, liability, damage estimating, and/or settlement. , • Applies highly advanced knowledge of analytical procedures to reconcile, manipulate, & recognize patterns of data. , • Applies highly advanced knowledge of problem-solving and preparation of complex reports for analysis. , • Applies highly advanced negotiation and/or arbitration skills. , • Applies highly advanced conflict management and problem resolution skills.
