About the position Elevance Health is seeking a Customer Care Representative I who is bilingual in English and Spanish to join our team. This position is primarily remote, allowing you to work from home, with occasional visits to the office for training, team meetings, or engagement activities. As a representative, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service to our members, helping them navigate their healthcare needs during critical times. You will assist expectant mothers in finding the right doctors, support members dealing with cancer, and alleviate financial stresses for patients. Your work will be driven by compassion and purpose, ensuring that our customers receive the help they need when they need it most. In this role, you will act as a trusted advisor and educator on healthcare-related inquiries, including claims questions, finding doctors, and explaining benefits. Our Customer Care teams are highly collaborative, providing you with the support necessary to solve problems and serve our customers effectively. Available shifts include both 5-day and 4-day work schedules, with varying start times to accommodate different preferences. Responsibilities • Provide exceptional customer service to members by addressing their healthcare-related inquiries. , • Act as a trusted advisor and educator on claims questions, finding doctors, and explaining benefits. , • Assist expectant mothers in finding the right healthcare providers and support members with serious health conditions. , • Collaborate with team members to solve problems and ensure customer satisfaction. , • Participate in paid training programs and continuous learning opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge. Requirements • High School Diploma or equivalent required. , • Minimum of 1 year of experience in an automated customer service environment or equivalent education and experience. , • Bilingual in Spanish and English, with the ability to pass a validated language test/assessment. Nice-to-haves • A passion for serving others with empathy and a desire to resolve member questions at the first point of contact. , • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to listen and find creative solutions for customers' issues. , • Ability to multi-task and navigate multiple computer applications while communicating effectively with customers. , • Strong work ethic and sense of responsibility to teammates and members, including punctuality and accountability. , • Flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing customer and business needs.
