About the opportunity Homeward Mortgage is hiring a Mortgage Loan Assistant Manager who is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and success of the assigned Loan Officer Assistant team. Their responsibilities include coaching and developing a team of Loan Officer Assistants, communicating information to and from the leadership team, and driving performance of their team to exceed targets. The Mortgage Loan Assistant Manager will be primarily focused on driving conversion and leading the Loan Officer Assistant team in creating an exceptional experience for Homeward’s buyers and agents. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. In this role, you will • Conduct relevant coaching and training sessions for your team members to increase knowledge and efficiency. • Monitor your team’s KPIs, SLAs and drive them to meet their desired goals. • Collaborate with the Loan Advisor Managers to ensure a healthy and efficient working relationship between Loan Officer Assistant and their respective Loan Advisors. • Collaborate with our Underwriting Managers to ensure the efficient movement of files through the funnel, and to coach the Loan Officer Assistants towards making completed file submissions. • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the real estate and residential mortgage industry, and a knowledge of the competitive landscape of the Power Buyer space. Develop Loan Officer Assistants to reach peak performance • Foster a competitive yet collaborative team environment in line with Homeward’s Values and Culture • Motivate the team and drive conversion of qualified leads to approved buyers and contracts • Assess current team processes and procedures, identify opportunities for improvement, all the way through implementation • Implement a scalable sales strategy that drives Loan Officer Assistant performance • Track, analyze, and communicate team and individual performance data • Identify knowledge gaps within the team and develop a plan to fulfill them • Facilitate weekly meetings and 1:1s with team • Manage month to month and year over year people management administrative process • Continuously develop personal leadership and training skills while also gaining company/product knowledge to be a subject matter expert What you’ll bring • 1+ years experience in sales management • 4+ years of experience in a sales environment • 1+ years experience in residential mortgage sales or operations • Proven experience leading a team to hit and exceed sales goals, and manage a book of business • Strategic selling skills • Strong time management skills • Creative problem solver and self-sufficient worker • Ability to effectively communicate with other departments and senior management • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high production environment • The drive to build something new that will change the real estate industry Our Values THE GOLDEN RULE Whether we’re dealing with colleagues or customers, we follow The Golden Rule, treating others the way we want to be treated.
