About the position As a Claims Processor at BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee (BCBST), you will play a crucial role in the claims handling process. Your primary responsibility will be to route claim issues to the next level or appropriate support areas, ensuring that all claims are processed efficiently and effectively. You will be tasked with inputting, reviewing, and validating the claims data received, evaluating their reliability and effectiveness in line with coverage and appraisal standards. This position requires you to assist in routine claim analysis and final determination, delivering administrative support throughout all claim handling processes. In addition to these responsibilities, you will perform basic investigator tasks, which include gathering and documenting relevant information as part of a preliminary investigation. It is essential that you are able to pass required testing and be prepared to work overtime as needed. This role is vital to maintaining the integrity of the claims process and ensuring that all claims are handled in a timely manner, contributing to the overall mission of BCBST to provide peace of mind through better health. Requirements • High School Diploma or equivalent. , • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint). , • Proficient oral and written communication skills. , • Proficient interpersonal and organizational skills. , • Exceptional time management skills. , • Independent, sound decision-making and problem-solving skills. , • If current employee with the company, must meet minimum performance expectations.
