Reading Recovery Teacher Leader

About the position Lesley University is seeking a dedicated Reading Recovery Teacher Leader to join our team. This part-time position is designed for individuals who have been selected by their school district or a consortium of districts to train and support both in-training and experienced Reading Recovery teachers in various schools. The Teacher Leader will play a crucial role in monitoring the teaching practices and outcomes of the Reading Recovery program, ensuring that students receive the highest quality of instruction. This role involves engaging in ongoing professional development to enhance the skills and effectiveness of Reading Recovery teachers. Depending on the number of new teachers being monitored each year, the Teacher Leader will form and support groups of one or more teachers, fostering a collaborative and supportive learning environment. The successful candidate will be affiliated with a certified Reading Recovery training center and must adhere to the standards and guidelines established by the Reading Recovery Council of North America. This position not only requires a strong commitment to the Reading Recovery program but also a passion for improving literacy outcomes for students. The Teacher Leader will be instrumental in creating a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth among educators, ultimately benefiting the students they serve.
