Middle School Science Teacher

Description Middle School Science Teacher GEO 21st Century Charter School is seeking highly motivated and experienced Middle School Science Teachers to join our team. The ideal candidates will have a passion for teaching and inspiring young minds to explore the world of science. Responsibilities: • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the school's curriculum and state standards • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and fosters a love of learning • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to students and parents • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create interdisciplinary projects and activities • Stay up-to-date with the latest teaching methods and technologies to enhance student learning • Communicate regularly with parents • Continually assess student progress toward mastery of standards and keep students and parents well informed of student progress by collecting and tracking data, providing daily feedback, weekly assessments, and occasional parent/teacher conferences • Work with the Special Education teachers and administration to serve special needs students in the classroom • Establish and enforce rules for behavior and procedures for maintaining order among the students for whom you are responsible • Accept and incorporate feedback and coaching from administrative staff If you are a passionate and dedicated Middle School Science Teacher who is committed to providing a high-quality education to our students, we encourage you to apply for this position.

Requirements

Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field • Valid Indiana Professional Educator or Initial Practitioner certification in Science for middle school (Substitute license is not accepted) • Proven experience teaching middle school students • Strong knowledge of middle school science curriculum and state standards • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and staff Apply Job!
