Freight Flow Associate

Sam's Club is hiring for Freight Flow Associate As a Freight Flow Associate, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that merchandise is efficiently processed and organized within the store. Your responsibilities will include receiving and stocking merchandise, maintaining the sales floor, and providing exceptional member service. Key Responsibilities: Freight Handling: • Receive and Stock Merchandise: Unload merchandise from delivery trucks, sort and organize products, and ensure items are stocked efficiently. • Organize Merchandise: Maintain accurate inventory levels and manage the flow of goods to ensure that products are available for members. Sales Floor Maintenance: • Merchandising: Set up, clean, and organize product displays in accordance with company policies and procedures. • Stocking: Rotate merchandise, remove damaged or out-of-date goods, and ensure shelves are well-stocked and organized. Member Service: • Assist Members: Provide guidance and support to members regarding self-service technology, help with purchasing decisions, locate merchandise, and resolve member issues and concerns. • Promote Products: Actively promote company products and services to enhance the member experience. Safety and Compliance: • Safety Procedures: Follow company policies for handling and disposing of hazardous materials, conduct safety sweeps, and report unsafe conditions to management. • Compliance: Adhere to company standards for inventory handling, sanitation, and food safety. Operational Efficiency: • Use Technology: Utilize equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely and efficiently. • Inventory Management: Track inventory levels, report low stock, and manage shrinkage. Communication and Collaboration: • Teamwork: Collaborate with managers, co-workers, and other business partners to complete work assignments and priorities. • Reporting: Communicate progress, share information, and adapt to changes or feedback. Minimum Qualifications: • Experience: 90 days of prior experience with Forklift Certification or similar equipment. • Age: Must be 18 years of age or older. • Skills: Ability to safely utilize pallet jacks and operate forklifts. Strong organizational and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications: • Customer Service Experience: Previous experience in customer service or retail. • Team Supervision: Experience supervising or leading a team.
