Remote Senior Curriculum Specialist & Teen Director (Southeast & East Los Angeles) | WFH
Job Overview Join us as a Senior Teen Director & Curriculum Specialist, where you will play a pivotal role in nurturing youth development. This remote position allows you to oversee a diverse array of teen programs in Southeast and East Los Angeles while focusing on the creation of engaging educational curriculums tailored for middle and high school students. Key Responsibilities Lead, mentor, and motivate a dedicated team of Teen Directors and Teen Coordinators, fostering an environment of excellence in youth programming. Craft and oversee innovative curriculums across various initiatives, including leadership development, service learning, and global awareness. Facilitate training sessions for program staff and volunteers, empowering them with essential tools for effective curriculum implementation. Assess and analyze program outcomes to ensure each initiative genuinely enhances the lives of teens. Collaborate with center leadership and program leaders to curate enriching experiences for young individuals. Stay informed about the latest methodologies in youth development to continuously elevate program offerings. Required Skills Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership abilities. Proficient in designing engaging and impactful curriculum materials. Background in leadership development, service learning, diversity and inclusion, and global education is advantageous. A deep-seated passion for youth development and a commitment to making a constructive difference in the community. Qualifications A bachelors degree in education, recreation, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience). A minimum of 3 years of experience in directing and instructing programs tailored for middle and high school students. At least 2 years of experience in training and supervising program staff.
