Job Overview VIQ Solutions is a prominent leader in providing transcription services across various industries, particularly as Legal and Judicial agencies embrace technology-driven workflows. We are currently in search of skilled Legal/Judicial contract candidates who possess substantial experience in transcribing depositions and hearings. This position is entirely remote, offering Independent Contractors the flexibility to work from home. Key Responsibilities Transcribe depositions, hearings, and other judicial proceedings with a meticulous focus on detail. Produce verbatim transcripts by accurately processing audio recordings while adhering to client-specific style guides. Collaborate effectively with our supportive in-office team for guidance and assistance whenever required. Manage workload efficiently to meet strict deadlines. Required Skills Demonstrated experience in court reporting, scoping, or legal transcription. Exceptional listening skills and a strong command of grammar and literacy. Proficiency in typing with both speed and accuracy. Familiarity with legal terminology and the ability to handle sensitive content with professionalism. Capability to work independently and remotely while meeting deadlines. Qualifications Proven experience in transcribing legal documents, particularly depositions and hearings. Court reporting students may be considered. Ability to pass a background check is mandatory. This opportunity is not available to residents of Massachusetts or California.
