The Summer Intern will work on targeted projects which contribute to the improvement of asset... management processes. This could consist of currently deployed automation sortation and robotics initiatives across the UPS network, reporting on process improvement initiatives, or monitoring existing UPS maintenance process improvement initiatives. A candidate will demonstrate excellent project management, time management, and people skills. Skills • Excellent written and oral communication skills • Strong people skills • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook) • Basic MySQL skills (preferred) • Basic Power BI skills (preferred) • Basic AutoCAD software skills Responsibilities • Maintain and meet project schedules • Collaborate with multiple engineering disciplines, UPS employees, and vendors • Apply and develop technical and soft skills through daily interactions with team members Qualifications • Rising Junior or Senior currently enrolled in a degreed college/university program, or recent graduate within the last 24 months earning a Bachelor’s Degree or international equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field • Must be available to work 40 hours per week Education Requirements • Bachelor’s Degree or international equivalent in relevant engineering or computer science fields Education Requirements Credential Category • Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology Experience Requirements • No prior experience required, but relevant coursework or internships are beneficial.
