Remote Paralegal or Landman
Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Paralegal or Landman to join a new, virtual law firm. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of oil and gas title work and/or experience or exposure to oil and gas title work in one or more of the following jurisdictions: (1) Pennsylvania, (2) Ohio, (3) West Virginia, (4) Texas, or (5) New Mexico. Experience with Lexis-Nexis, oil and gas legal documents... drafting is highly desirable, but not mandatory. Responsibilities - Assist Managing Member in preparing oil and gas titled related opinions and other briefs, pleadings, appeals, contracts, and agreements as needed - Conduct legal research using various resources including Lexis-Nexis - Manage and organize virtual legal files and documents - Communicate with attorneys in the firm to gather necessary information and provide updates on opinion progress Skills - Proficiency in oil and gas law in one of the foregoing jurisdictions - Strong legal drafting skills - Knowledge of law office procedures and protocols - Ability to work independently and as part of a team Job Type: Full-time Benefits: 401(k) Life insurance Work from home Schedule: 10 hour shift Weekends as needed Experience: Microsoft Office: 3 years (Required) Oil and Gas Title: 2 years (Required) Work Location: Remote Apply Job!
