Key Responsibilities • Facilitate dynamic virtual instruction that caters to the specific needs of students with low incidence disabilities and life skills challenges. • Design and implement tailored individualized education plans (IEPs) to achieve personalized student objectives. • Offer specialized support in critical life skills, encompassing communication, socialization, and self-care. • Collaborate effectively with parents, support staff, and administrators to track and adapt strategies based on student progress. • Conduct virtual assessments to measure student advancement and identify evolving needs. • Actively engage in IEP meetings to contribute insights into educational plans. • Create and maintain a positive and inclusive virtual classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation and development. Required Skills • Proficiency in virtual teaching and exceptional communication abilities. • Empathy and patience in working with students from diverse backgrounds. • Expertise in developing and executing individualized education plans (IEPs). • Strong collaborative skills for effective partnership with parents and educational support staff. • Understanding of essential life skills crucial for student success. Qualifications • Master's degree in Special Education. • Valid Special Education teaching licensure in Minnesota. • Proven experience in supporting students with low incidence disabilities and life skills challenges.
