Experienced Legal Transcriptionist - Independent Contractor (Remote)

This remote opportunity is specifically designed for experienced Legal/Judicial contract candidates with significant expertise in transcribing depositions and hearings. The role demands an intense attention to... detail, knowledge of legal terminology, and excellent grasp of grammar while processing audio recordings to produce verbatim transcripts. Independent contractors will have the flexibility to set their own schedules, with 24/7/365 work availability to accommodate any timetable. Support from our in-office team is readily accessible as needed, and candidates with weekend availability are particularly encouraged to apply. Skill Requirements • Experience with court reporting, scoping, or legal transcription • Excellent listening skills • Adherence to deadlines and client-specific style guides • Outstanding literacy skills, including comprehension, spelling, and grammar • Ability to collaborate remotely • Proficiency in typing speed and accuracy • Capability to process extreme audio/text content, which may be offensive • Ability to pass a background check • Familiarity with legal terminology • Court reporting students will also be considered • Note: Currently, this opportunity is not available to Massachusetts or California residents.
