Bus Driver (Part-time)

This is a Combat Veteran Owned Business and Veterans are highly encouraged to apply. This is for a Year Round position. At a minimum, you will have a 9 hour duty day but being paid for 10 hours. You will be working 1 or 2 days a week Wednesdays & Thursdays... Shift A is 2 trips, 1st being on Wednesdays ?2pm-11pm & 2nd on Thursdays 4:30am-1pm Shift B is single trip Thursdays 1:30am-10:30am Base pay is $32 to $37 an hour DOE plus any time over 8 hours is overtime pay at $48 to $55.50 an hour. Starting wages on the low end would be about $352 a day to $407 DOE. You will be paid 10 hours for each trip minimum even if you complete the shift in less than that. Motorcoaches will be parked at company heated garage before and after each local trip. Responsibilities: - Provide excellent customer service to passengers during transportation - Safely operate a motor coach, following all traffic laws and regulations - Cleaning any trash left in seats and sweeping aisle as needed post trip. - Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition - Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking the motor coach - Follow designated routes and schedules to ensure timely arrival at destinations - Communicate effectively with passengers and address any concerns or questions -Use of two-way radio to communicate with dispatcher - Use of single tire chains when conditions warrant. Skills: - Commercial driving experience, preferably with a focus on motor coaches or similar vehicles - Must have a Class B or Class A Alaska CDL with Passenger Endorsement with no air brake restrictions. - Knowledge of mechanical systems and ability to perform basic maintenance tasks such as replacing a serpentine belt. - Familiarity with motorcoach services and service requirements is a plus - Ability to provide exceptional customer service and maintain a professional demeanor at all times - Strong communication skills, including fluency in English - Valid driver's license with a clean driving record - Experience in limousine, school bus, shuttle driving, or delivery driver roles is beneficial - Must be able to lift up to 50lb - Winter Driving & Cold weather operations Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
