Key Technologies: DB2, SQL, Oracle, RDBMS, NoSQL Databases, Analytics platforms, ETL, etc. Required Qualifications: • Bachelor s degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or other related scientific or technical discipline. • Master s degree is preferred. • At least 10 years of experience analyzing and managing data systems, setting policies for how data is stored and accessed, coordinating various data sources within an organization, and integrating new data technologies into existing IT infrastructures. • Strong background in data engineering principles and techniques. • Extensive experience migrating data from legacy mainframe systems to new COTS products. • This role requires a highly hands-on approach, with a strong emphasis on SQL programming proficiency. Responsibilities: • Lead and perform data analysis and data migration activities. • Develop, program and processes overall data migration analysis and data migration activities. • Design data mapping for migrating data from old systems to new systems. • Develop functional data requirements and technical data transformation plans. • Analyze legacy data systems. • Design source to target data maps and migration plans. • Outline and enforce data governance standards and principles. • Develop data cleaning processes, programs, and methods. • Analyze DB2 data and develop DB2 programs. • Analyze SQL, Oracle data and develop programs. • Review data security and address data security concerns. • Coordinate database changes with the technical team. • Create an inventory of the data necessary to build and implement a data analysis architecture. • Envision data pipelines and how data will flow through the COTS and other integrated systems. • Develop a reference architecture that includes data domain specifications. • Maintain a repository of all data analysis procedures and artifacts. • Outline data integration techniques and processes. • Integrate new systems and functions like security, performance, scalability, reliability, and data recovery. • Develop measures that ensure data accuracy, integrity, and accessibility. • Ensure compliance with data quality and protection policies.
