Typically, the needs are simple companionship and friendship, emotional support, someone to listen-but the small things you can do make an enormous difference in someone's life. Volunteers are supervised by a volunteer coordinator and are supported by other members of the patient care team. This approach is extended through our volunteers, who are a vital part of the care team. We offer different types of volunteer options direct care, indirect care, professional, bereavement, and administrative. College students are welcome to apply to join our internship program enabling them to meet their school's internship requirement while giving back to their community. Some examples of ways volunteers can assist with patients are reading, writing letters, playing music or games, sitting quietly, listening, spiritual support and much more. , Volunteers Make a Difference!!
