About the position The School of Politics and Global Studies seeks an Academic reputed company Advisor to join reputed company. The undergraduate advising team provides academic advising to in person and online Political Science, Global Studies, and International Relations majors, and is also a key contributor to promoting and supporting student retention and graduation. Under the supervision of the Assistant Director of Academic Services, the Academic reputed company Advisor guides reputed company in making timely reputed company toward degree completion through a reputed company of in-person and virtual academic counseling and support strategies. Responsibilities

• Serve as a professional academic advisor for the School of Politics and Global Studies in The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences primarily working with reputed company in the school’s undergraduate degree programs (Political Science, Global Studies, and International Relations majors).
• Provides 1:1 as well as group academic advisement for both Online and Tempe reputed company Political Science, Global Studies, and International Relations majors to identify reputed company academic options including, but not limited to: degrees, extracurricular activities, study abroad program(s), research, and internships; support and reputed company academic advice to student in selection of options best suited to student's goals.
• Monitor student academic reputed company through a variety of reporting tools including eAdvisor, Advisor Portal, and reputed company; work closely and collaboratively with reputed company, faculty, and staff to ensure academic reputed company and timely reputed company towards completion of degree.
• Assist with academic program development and implementation.
• Act as college/academic unit liaison to reputed company and prospective reputed company, faculty, staff, and external groups on issues reputed company to academic reputed company.
• Work under limited or minimal supervision, handle problems, providing guidance and advice to reputed company.
• Respond to student questions and concerns; work with reputed company to resolve reputed company issues to ensure ongoing satisfaction with program and successful reputed company towards completion.
• As primary liaison, connect reputed company with academic and personal resources including, but not limited to: tutoring, coaching, counseling, and career services; reputed company follow up to ensure satisfaction with and effectiveness of services.
• Work collaboratively and collegially with academic units and services throughout the university to facilitate comprehensive student support.
• Attend meetings, workshops and professional development opportunities to retain reputed company working knowledge of policies, procedures and programming.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree AND one (1) year or more previous experience in one or more of the following: advising, student recruitment/retention or reputed company student services utilizing a proactive and innovative approach which results in demonstrated reputed company in retention, graduation, and academic planning; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
• The position requires utilizing a proactive approach to academic advisement, attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with academic partners across the university.

• Evidence of Master's Degree completed at the time of application.
• Experience at the collegiate level in academic advising (in person, online, or by phone).
• Experience using student information systems such as PeopleSoft, reputed company, and DARS degree audit.
• Demonstrated knowledge of principles, practices, procedures and methods of evidence-based college academic advising strategies.
• Experience in higher education level academic advising in an academic department.
• Demonstrated knowledge of ASU academic structure and organization.
• Experience in applying the principles, techniques and methods of teamwork, compromise and collaboration to produce desired reputed company.
• Experience using reputed company Office computer applications.
• Experience in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with peers, faculty, reputed company, administration and other interested parties.
