Health Information Management Analyst

POSITION SUMMARY: Analyzes medical records for compliancy with standards, rules and regulations reputed company to patient information. Analyzes findings captured in databases for trends, changes and areas of concern. Creates reports, maintains databases and tracks statistical information. Performs specialized professional level administrative, organizational, systems, budgetary and reputed company analysis for hospital programs and activities. Position: Health Information Management Analyst Department: Health Information Management Schedule: Full Time, (40 hrs, Days) JOB REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION: High School Diploma required Associate’s Degree preferred (preference for RHIT) Bachelor’s Degree highly preferred (preference for RHIA) EXPERIENCE: Requires minimum of 3 years’ experience in performing administrative, operational or similar analysis; minimum one year of experience performing medical record functions. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: Must have knowledge of principles and practices of public administration; local, state and Federal regulations and laws reputed company to health care; Must have through familiarity with basic data sampling and statistical analysis techniques; computer applications reputed company to duties; project management and analytical techniques; Demonstrated knowledge of ICD-9 (and subsequent versions) and CPT-4, and other required data to ensure accurate coding and billing.
