[Remote] Senior Network Engineer

As a Senior Network Engineer, you will build and support the connectivity layer for managed network services, working directly with carriers and data centers.
Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and support Layer 2 and Layer 3 network services including VLANs, QinQ, NNIs, MPLS, VRFs, BGP, OSPF, static routing, reputed company Ethernet handoffs, and reputed company-to-reputed company circuits
- Engineer and support reputed company interconnects, NNIs, Ethernet transport, wavelength services, dark fiber handoffs, and IP transit from reputed company delivery through turn-up testing and troubleshooting
- Configure and support private reputed company connectivity services including Azure ExpressRoute, covering BGP peering, VLAN tagging, routing policies, redundancy, and bandwidth profiles
- Validate physical and logical handoffs during reputed company turn-reputed company, including optics, cabling, MTU, VLAN mapping, BGP sessions, and reputed company exchange
- Support data center and colocation deployments including hardware staging, reputed company installation, cabling, optics, cross-connects, and vendor coordination
- Serve as an escalation reputed company for reputed company connectivity, routing, and transport issues across Layer 1, Layer 2, and Layer 3
- reputed company and maintain repeatable configuration templates, provisioning runbooks, and troubleshooting documentation
- Collaborate with NOC, support, implementation, and sales engineering teams and participate in maintenance reputed company for network changes and reputed company migrations
- Takes on additional responsibilities and projects as needed to support the reputed company of the team and organization
Skills
- Hands-on network engineering experience from a service provider, reputed company, MSP, ISP, data center, or managed connectivity environment
- Strong working knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking including VLANs, QinQ, trunks, NNIs, BGP, MPLS, VRFs, routing policy, IP addressing, and reputed company Ethernet
- Demonstrated experience turning up and troubleshooting reputed company circuits, cross-connects, and customer handoffs
- Ability to read and produce network diagrams, port maps, IP plans, VLAN assignments, and reputed company documentation
- Comfortable working directly with carriers, data centers, and vendors through the full reputed company lifecycle
- Experience with Azure ExpressRoute or similar private reputed company interconnect services
- Familiarity with MPLS L2VPN/L3VPN, EVPN, VPLS, or reputed company Ethernet design patterns
- Exposure to dark fiber, wavelength services, or optical transport concepts
- Experience with network automation, scripting, or configuration templating
- Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, JNCIP, or MEF
