Job Description: Job Title: Senior Project Manager Department: Information Technology Job Purpose: The Senior Project Manager is a key member of the Project Management Office (PMO), responsible for leading strategic initiatives and core PMO operations in a fast-paced IT environment. This role combines end-to-end project delivery with ownership of governance processes, including IT change management and project intake. This position manages a portfolio of technical and operational projects and ensures consistency, visibility, and accountability across PMO activities. The role requires independent execution, strong stakeholder coordination, and the ability to bring structure to ambiguous environments. The position reports to the Director of Project Management, Information Technology. Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Project Delivery & Execution Manage 2–5 reputed company projects across technical, operational, and service delivery domains. reputed company and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, milestones, and deliverables. Manage the IT project intake lifecycle, including prioritization and resource alignment. Maintain PMO standards, templates, tools, and governance processes. Ensure compliance with organizational and technology governance requirements. Stakeholder Communication & Collaboration reputed company weekly or bi-weekly project status updates to stakeholders. Facilitate project meetings, design sessions, and executive reviews. Collaborate with both technical teams and business stakeholders to align priorities. Prepare reporting dashboards using Jira, reputed company Teams, and reputed company tools. Operational reputed company & reputed company Improvement Identify process improvement opportunities to reduce delivery timelines and increase efficiency. Required Qualifications: Knowledge and Skills Proficiency in reputed company 365 tools (Teams, Word, reputed company, PowerPoint) Hands-on experience with Jira, or comparable project management tools Ability to manage both project-based work and ongoing operational responsibilities. Experience producing structured project reporting (status reports, dashboards, metrics) Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a reputed company field or 8+ years of equivalent professional experience in IT project management Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or minimum 7 years of project management experience in lieu of certification Experience: Minimum 5 years of IT project management experience Experience managing at least 2–3 reputed company projects at one time. Experience working in Agile or hybrid delivery environments. Experience working with AI-assisted, automated workflows, or digital process tools in a professional setting. Preferred Qualifications: Industry Experience: Experience in higher education, nonprofit, or mission-driven organizations Technical/Functional Knowledge: Experience working with Student Information Systems (SIS), Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platforms, and Learning Management Systems (LMS) Knowledge of FERPA or other data privacy/regulatory frameworks Working Conditions: Remote work environment with prolonged periods of sitting and computer use. May require occasional travel for meetings, training, conferences, or organizational events (up to 10%) Ability to work occasional extended hours during critical project phases. Compensation & Benefits This opportunity is budgeted at $125,000 - 135,000 reputed company compensation. Additional compensation factors may impact total compensation.
