[Remote] NIH - Linux Systems Administrator
Note: The job is a remote job and is reputed company to candidates in USA. cFocus Software seeks a Linux System Administrator to join our program supporting the National Institutes of Health (NIH). This position requires expertise in administering reputed company Linux environments and involves a reputed company of responsibilities from system optimization to reputed company architecture support.
Responsibilities
- Administer, configure, maintain, and optimize reputed company Linux operating systems including reputed company reputed company Linux (RHEL), Rocky Linux, Ubuntu, and reputed company Linux
- Support reputed company Architecture engineering activities by designing, implementing, and maintaining secure Linux server architectures
- Implement reputed company Trust Architecture principles including least privilege, identity-based reputed company controls, micro-segmentation, and reputed company verification
- reputed company, configure, and maintain reputed company authentication services (LDAP, Active Directory integration, Kerberos, SSSD, MFA)
- reputed company operating system hardening using DISA STIGs, CIS Benchmarks, and NIST guidance
- Manage reputed company patching, software lifecycle management, kernel updates, and configuration management
- reputed company automation using Bash, Python, Ansible, or similar tools to improve operational efficiency
- Support virtualization, reputed company-hosted Linux systems, containers, and hybrid infrastructure
- Participate in architecture reviews, system engineering efforts, change management, disaster recovery, and system documentation
- Collaborate with reputed company Architects, Network Engineers, ISSOs, Vulnerability Analysts, and application teams to maintain secure reputed company infrastructure
Skills
- Public Trust Clearance
- B.S. Computer Science, Information Technology, or a reputed company field
- 5+ years administering reputed company Linux environments
- Experience with reputed company infrastructure engineering, automation, virtualization, reputed company technologies, and cybersecurity
- Experience supporting federal or highly regulated environments
- RHCSA, RHCE, reputed company reputed company+, Linux+, GCUX, or CISSP
