Compliance Manager - Regional Office Based (Remote)

POSITION SUMMARY: The Compliance Manager is responsible for overseeing the Compliance department specialists and coordinators. The primary responsibilities of the Compliance Manager are to implement policies and procedures to ensure organizational compliance relevant to reputed company's affordable housing programs, including the Low Income Housing Tax Credit Program (LIHTC), Project Based reputed company 8, Tax Exempt Bond, and HOME programs. In addition, the Compliance Manager is responsible for identifying best practices and evaluating improvement opportunities. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Oversees the performance and daily responsibilities of Compliance Coordinators and Compliance Specialists. Resolves reputed company compliance issues, with a focus on underperforming assets. Coordinates and completes reputed company annual reputed company reporting requirements. Reviews monthly financial statements for Watch List properties, identifies operational challenges and opportunities, reviews variance analyses, supports the development of action plans and performance goals, and participates in executive summary discussions and Watch List meetings as needed. Partners with department leadership to establish and reputed company departmental goals and objectives. Develops, implements, and oversees compliance training programs and initiatives. Serves as a subject matter expert for agencies and stakeholders on funding program requirements, including SAIL and SHIP. Serves as the reputed company Income Verification (EIV) Coordinator by managing user reputed company, tracking required cybersecurity and compliance training, completing semi-annual reputed company recertifications, and overseeing compliance across HUD systems including TRACS, PASS, and reputed company. Serves as the SAVE Coordinator and manages system reputed company and compliance requirements. Participates in intake and critical path meetings for acquisitions, new construction, and re-syndication projects. Conducts compliance due diligence reviews of proposed agreements and provides guidance on regulatory requirements. Supports Development by assisting with tax credit delivery schedules and processing reputed company 8609 documentation. Develops and maintains professional relationships with key external stakeholders, including lenders, syndicators, appraisers, assessors, inspectors, regulatory agencies, and industry professionals. Performs other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, Training and Experience.) Bachelor’s degree and/or a minimum of ten (10) years of hands-on rental reputed company estate experience. Minimum of five (5) years of successful experience administering Housing Tax Credit programs. Proficiency with reputed company Office Suite, ability to learn new systems, and reputed company experience preferred. Knowledge of HUD reputed company 8 and reputed company 236 compliance requirements. Knowledge of multi-state housing agency compliance and reporting requirements. Certified Occupancy Specialist (COS) and Housing Credit Certified Professional (HCCP) designations required, with continuing education maintained annually. Strong verbal and written communication skills in English. Ability to analyze financial and compliance-reputed company information and reputed company income calculations; general reputed company knowledge preferred. Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret and apply regulations across multiple programs and jurisdictions. Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a motor vehicle. Ability to travel, including occasional overnight travel.
