[Remote] Head of Finance & Capital Markets | Series C Fintech
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Ember Search is seeking a Head of Finance and Capital Markets for a Series C fintech operating in the US equipment financing market. The role involves leading the finance function, owning the capital markets mandate, and partnering with the leadership team to drive strategic decisions as the company scales towards its first securitization and a multi-acquisition growth strategy.
Responsibilities
- Lead the finance function as the most senior finance person in the organization
- Own the full capital markets mandate - structuring debt facilities, optimizing cost of capital, and managing lender relationships
- Set up a mezz facility, drive the ratings process, and lead the company's first securitization end to end
- Sit on the eight-person leadership team and contribute to major commercial and strategic decisions
- Oversee accounting and controlling staff across multiple geographies and drive automation across the finance function
- Partner on M&A execution as the company pursues an active competitor acquisition strategy
- Drive the integration of a new AI-native finance platform as part of a broader systems buildout
Skills
- 8 to 12+ years of experience in finance, with a capital markets core
- Background in fintech, lending, equipment finance, or structured finance - someone who has been close to a debt stack
- Experience structuring and managing debt facilities, borrowing bases, and lender relationships
- Track record of driving or meaningfully contributing to a securitization or ABS transaction
- Comfortable operating as a strategic thought partner at the leadership team level, including board and investor interaction
- Strong FP&A and strategic finance foundation alongside the capital markets depth
- Low ego, high execution - thrives in a lean, fast-moving environment where ownership is real
- Location: Remote (East Coast preferred)
