Strategy Planning Principal

Under limited supervision, provides leadership in the development of the organization's strategic plan(s). Essential Functions

• Conducts environmental scans, organizational positioning, analysis and other studies.
• Develops concepts into strategies including quantitative analysis and recommendations; screens plans for strategic fit, feasibility and profitability, prior to presentation to senior management.
• Coordinates input from all major business units to facilitate the integration of individual business unit plans, best practices, and global and multi-discipline perspectives.
• Conducts external research and quantitative analysis as required. Identifies, researches, analyzes, and makes recommendations to support the organizations growth objectives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

The preferred location for this hybrid position is Pittsburgh PA, Memphis TN or Plano TX. However, we will consider candidates based elsewhere within the United States (excluding Alaska, Hawaii, and U.S. territories). Candidates residing within 50 miles of a FedEx campus will be required to work on-site at a FedEx location several times per week. Minimum Education Bachelor's Degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, business administration or equivalent. Minimum Experience Five (5) or more years equivalent work experience in information technology or business environment including project management, quantitative analysis, forecasting, process improvement or market/competitive analysis. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Demonstrated leadership ability, analytical and critical thinking ability with time management and management skills. Strong communications and human relations skills. Preferred Qualifications: Supports air network design, optimization, and implementation by collaborating with stakeholders to align capacity with demand, enable new business onboarding, and support expansion into new markets for scalable, sustainable growth. Analyzes network performance to identify improvement opportunities and drive efficiency. Leverages data insights to enhance operations, optimize capacity planning, and deliver continuous improvements that support long-term, profitable business outcomes.
