Special Education Teacher - Remote | WFH

Key Responsibilities
Deliver direct/group instructions to students with disabilities using remote teaching methods. Develop tailored lesson plans and instructional materials to meet the individualized education plans (IEP) of students. Conduct educational assessments to evaluate students' progress and inform instructional strategies. Attend IEP meetings remotely and contribute to the planning and development of IEPs. Collaborate closely with other members of the special education team to ensure comprehensive support for students. Implement special education services effectively, employing a variety of teaching styles to meet the diverse needs of learners. Maintain open and effective communication with parents/caregivers and staff to facilitate students' academic success. Adapt traditional education curriculum to accommodate students' individual needs and learning styles. Ensure that appropriate accommodations are available for classroom instruction and testing. Utilize positive behavioral support techniques to foster a conducive learning environment. Assist in collecting data for implementing appropriate classroom interventions.
Required Qualifications
Valid Illinois SPED Education LBS1 Teaching Certification. Experience in in-person instruction (no remote openings available at this time). Why Join?
