Founding Full-Stack Engineer (Laravel, Vue.js) – Equity
We’re looking for a Founding Full-Stack Engineer to build the platform powering Scrybe’s next phase of growth. We’re replacing legacy submission platforms like FilmFreeway with modern, purpose-built tools for screenplay competitions, festivals, and development programs. The core product is live, post-revenue, and gaining traction, but there’s a lot to build: configurable competition workflows, evaluation pipelines, and infrastructure that scales. This is a true ownership role. You’ll ship features end-to-end, from database design and API development to reactive front-end interfaces using Vue.js and Inertia. This is not a maintenance role. It’s a build-and-ship role. What You’ll Do
- Build and extend our Laravel application
- Develop Vue.js interfaces using Inertia.js
- Design submission workflows and evaluation systems
- Improve infrastructure and performance
- Help shape product and technical direction
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years PHP & Laravel experience
- Strong Vue.js (Composition API preferred)
- Experience with MySQL or PostgreSQL
- Redis & background job processing
- AWS + Docker familiarity
- Self-directed builder comfortable in async environments
Nice to Have
- TypeScript
- Stripe / payment integrations
- Multi-tenant SaaS experience
- Interest in film or creative industry tooling
Compensation
- Equity-only founding role (2–5%).
