Position Overview

arenaflex is seeking a motivated and personable Remote Part‑Time Customer Service Specialist to join our dynamic support team. In this role, you will be the voice of arenaflex, handling both inbound and outbound telephone interactions, resolving inquiries, and building lasting relationships with our diverse customer base. Key Responsibilities

  • Answer inbound calls and initiate outbound calls to address customer inquiries, service requests, and follow‑up communications.
  • Utilize fact‑finding sales techniques to tailor arenaflex programs and services to each customer’s unique needs, aiming to deepen existing relationships and uncover new business opportunities.
  • Accurately set up, maintain, and close customer accounts, ensuring all data is entered correctly into our CRM system.
  • Apply arenaflex’s customer complaint resolution policy to resolve issues promptly, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Perform soft collections on accounts that are on credit hold or past due, while adhering to compliance and ethical standards.
  • Collaborate with internal teams—including sales, billing, and technical support—to coordinate solutions and provide seamless service experiences.
  • Document all interactions in detail, capturing key information that can be used for future reference and continuous improvement.
  • Participate in ongoing training sessions, webinars, and coaching calls to stay current on product updates, industry trends, and best practices.
  • Report periodically to a local arenaflex office when required, ensuring alignment with regional initiatives and team objectives.

Essential Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in customer service, communications, or related fields are a plus.
  • Minimum of 1 year of proven customer service experience, preferably in a call‑center or remote environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing, with an emphasis on building rapport.
  • Strong negotiation and conflict‑resolution skills, with a track record of turning challenging situations into positive outcomes.
  • Excellent organizational abilities, including accurate typing and data‑entry proficiency (minimum 50 wpm).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite—Excel, Word, and Access—and comfort navigating web‑based CRM platforms.
  • U.S. citizenship, permanent residency, or authorized work status; no future sponsorship required.
  • Willingness to travel to a local arenaflex office when business needs dictate, ensuring seamless integration with on‑site teams.

Preferred Qualifications & Technical Requirements

  • Computer running Windows 10 (or newer) with at least 8 GB RAM; 16 GB RAM is preferred for optimal performance.
  • Reliable wired internet connection with minimum download speed of 100 Mbps and upload speed of 10 Mbps; mobile hotspots are not acceptable.
  • Apple computers running macOS 14.0 (Mojave) or later are acceptable, provided they meet performance standards.
  • Dual‑monitor setup is advantageous for multitasking and efficient call handling.
  • Previous experience in the energy, utilities, or propane industry is a distinct advantage.
  • Familiarity with remote collaboration tools such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, or Slack.
