[Remote] Senior Sales Systems Engineer, VDC M365

They are seeking a Senior Sales Systems Engineer to serve as a technical expert on the Veeam Data Cloud platform, driving revenue and collaborating with sales teams to deliver tailored solutions for customers.
Responsibilities
- Drive revenue by serving as the technical expert on the Veeam Data Cloud platform, progressing deals by winning the technical decision on opportunities above $100K ARR and advising on smaller engagements
- Deliver deep technical presentations and tailored product demonstrations to customers, highlighting key capabilities in AI, ML, DSPM, and Microsoft workloads including M365, EntraID, and Planner
- Collaborate with sales teams to identify customer needs, design solutions aligned with customer objectives and industry best practices, and craft compelling solution recommendations
- Develop and execute Proof of Concept tests to validate the effectiveness and suitability of Veeam solutions in customer environments
- Create and maintain technical documentation including solution briefs, whitepapers, and best practices around restore orchestration and backup policy design
- Act as the voice of the customer by driving regular cadence with Veeam product teams to surface feature gaps, enhancement opportunities, and key technical issues from losses
- Deliver training to customers, partners, and Veeam sales teams on Veeam Data Cloud and data protection best practices, and support ongoing knowledge sharing across the global field sales organization
- Be able to travel a minimum of 30%
Skills
- 10+ years of experience in software sales, technical pre-sales, or solution engineering, ideally with direct experience selling or supporting core Microsoft workloads or data protection solutions for those technologies
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft 365 and data protection requirements across Exchange, OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams, and EntraID
- Experience with DSPM solutions such as Microsoft Purview, including working knowledge of how organizations identify, monitor, and protect sensitive data
- In-depth knowledge of cloud security requirements, Azure services, and M365 APIs
- Technical depth in backup and recovery processes and requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
- Excellent written and presentation skills for both technical and non-technical audiences, with the ability to simplify complex concepts and build rapport quickly with customers, partners, and sales teams
- Hands-on experience with Power Platform and Dynamics in a data protection or sales engineering context
- Knowledge of top competitive plays in the data protection space against Veeam's primary competitors
- Experience working cross-functionally with Sales, Renewals, and Field Marketing teams
- Existing relationships or co-sell experience within the Microsoft ecosystem
