Position Overview

The Customer Service Representative is the friendly voice and face of arenaflex. You will handle phone orders, assist walk‑in guests, manage cash transactions, and coordinate with the kitchen and delivery teams to ensure every pizza leaves the store on time and in perfect condition. This role is ideal for energetic individuals who love multitasking, solving problems, and delivering exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming phone calls promptly, taking accurate orders and providing product information.
  • Greet customers in‑store, take orders, process payments, and ensure a smooth checkout experience.
  • Coordinate with kitchen staff to prioritize orders, monitor preparation times, and resolve any issues that arise.
  • Maintain a clean, organized front‑of‑house area, including counters, display cases, and the cash register.
  • Assist with inventory checks, restocking of supplies, and occasional unloading of deliveries using a hand truck.
  • Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback with professionalism and empathy, turning challenges into positive experiences.
  • Operate point‑of‑sale (POS) systems, calculators, and other office equipment efficiently.
  • Follow food safety and sanitation standards, including proper handling of cornmeal dust, dough, and hot oven surfaces.
  • Participate in regular training sessions to stay current on menu changes, promotions, and operational procedures.
  • Support teammates during peak periods by stepping into additional roles such as order assembly or drive‑through assistance when needed.

Essential Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; current enrollment in a post‑secondary program is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and a friendly, upbeat demeanor.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Basic math proficiency for cash handling and order calculations.
  • Demonstrated reliability – punctuality and consistent attendance are critical.
  • Comfortable standing for extended periods and performing light physical tasks (lifting up to 50 lb, pushing/pulling trays, bending, reaching).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a fast‑food, retail, or hospitality environment.
  • Familiarity with POS systems or similar technology.
  • Strong problem‑solving abilities and a knack for staying calm under pressure.
  • Interest in pursuing a career in restaurant management or franchise ownership.

Core Skills & Competencies

  • Customer Focus: Anticipate needs, listen actively, and exceed expectations.
  • Team Collaboration: Work seamlessly with kitchen staff, delivery drivers, and fellow front‑of‑house teammates.
  • Attention to Detail: Accurately record orders, handle cash, and maintain a tidy workspace.
  • Adaptability: Adjust quickly to changing priorities during busy periods.
  • Physical Stamina: Manage repetitive motions, lift moderate loads, and navigate a fast‑moving environment safely.

Physical Demands & Work Conditions

Working at arenaflex means you’ll experience a dynamic environment that blends indoor and occasional outdoor tasks. You’ll be exposed to varying temperatures—from cool storage rooms (around 36 °F) to hot ovens exceeding 500 °F. You may encounter food aromas, cornmeal dust, and occasional weather elements when handling trash or moving supplies outside. The role requires standing, walking on tiled or linoleum surfaces, occasional climbing on ladders, and frequent reaching, bending, and lifting. Safety equipment and proper training are provided to ensure a secure workplace.

Typical Physical Activities

  • Standing: Most duties are performed while standing at the counter or register.
  • Walking: Short‑distance movement across the sales floor and storage areas.
  • Sitting: Completing paperwork or training modules at a desk.
  • Lifting & Carrying: Handling cases of ingredients (up to 50 lb) and moving trays of dough or sauce.

  • Climbing & Stooping: Occasionally accessing high shelves or low storage bins.
  • Hand Tasks: Using pizza cutters, peels, and other tools with precision.

Career Growth & Development
