[Remote] Business Development Manager - Protein Systems
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. AMCO Proteins is a leading U.S.-based manufacturer and processor of functional and nutritional dairy protein ingredients. They are seeking a Business Development Manager to drive sales into the food, beverage, and nutrition markets by collaborating with various teams to develop innovative protein solutions and secure long-term partnerships.
Responsibilities
- Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities for functional and nutritional protein systems across the food, beverage, and nutrition markets
- Build, manage, and advance a sales pipeline from prospecting through commercialization and ongoing account growth
- Partner with customers' R&D, procurement, and innovation teams to address formulation challenges and deliver value-added ingredient solutions
- Collaborate with our internal technical, operations, and supply chain teams to evaluate and execute new product development opportunities
- Lead pricing discussions and negotiate supply agreements, commercial terms, and volume commitments
- Represent AMCO Proteins at industry trade shows, conferences, and customer events
- Monitor and communicate market intelligence related to ingredient pricing, competitive activity, industry trends, and emerging application opportunities
- Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key decision-makers to drive long-term customer partnerships and sustainable business growth
Skills
- 3+ years of B2B sales or business development experience in food/nutritional ingredients or dairy proteins
- Working knowledge of protein functionality and applications
- Demonstrated track record of closing new business and growing accounts using a consultative sales approach
- Willingness to travel up to 40%
- An existing network in food, beverage, or nutrition manufacturing is a strong plus
- Bachelor's degree in food science, business, or related field preferred
