[Remote] Solar Asset Project Manager

The Solar Asset Project Manager will lead field projects across an operating solar portfolio, overseeing scope, schedule, budget, and contractor management from initiation through closeout.
Responsibilities
- Lead projects from initiation through closeout, ensuring safe execution, budget adherence, and schedule compliance
- Review project intake documentation and technical requirements to validate scope and establish execution plans
- Develop project schedules, scopes of work, budgets, and resource plans
- Coordinate project activities with Asset Management, Engineering, Customer Care, Finance, Legal, Procurement, and external contractors
- Manage site logistics, contractor mobilization, access requirements, and field execution activities
- Lead project meetings and provide regular status updates to stakeholders
- Oversee contractor procurement efforts, including bid evaluations, scope alignment, and vendor performance management
- Review and manage change orders, project risks, and schedule impacts throughout execution
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, security, and environmental requirements
- Conduct site visits and support field teams in resolving technical and operational challenges
- Monitor project budgets, forecasts, and cost performance
- Manage project documentation, closeout requirements, and turnover back to Asset Management
Skills
- 5+ years of project management experience within solar, energy, construction, or industrial environments
- Experience managing field-executed projects involving multiple stakeholders and contractors
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing, contractor management, and site logistics
- Demonstrated ability to manage project scope, schedule, and budget simultaneously
- Ability to make effective decisions in fast-paced and evolving project environments
- Willingness to travel up to 20% to support active project sites
