Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Technology Project Manager at arenaflex, you will be the driving force behind high‑impact technology programs that support our GRC and Security initiatives. Your day‑to‑day responsibilities will include:

  • Strategic Project Leadership: Define, plan, and execute multi‑phase technology projects that align with arenaflex’s strategic objectives, ensuring on‑time delivery and adherence to budget.
  • Cybersecurity Enhancement: Lead initiatives that strengthen our cybersecurity posture, including the implementation of threat detection tools, vulnerability management processes, and incident response frameworks.
  • Regulatory Compliance Management: Oversee projects that ensure compliance with global regulations such as GDPR, PCI DSS, and industry standards like NIST CSF, maintaining rigorous documentation and audit readiness.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with senior technology managers, directors, and business leaders to gather requirements, translate business needs into technical solutions, and communicate progress transparently.
  • Risk & Issue Management: Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues, maintaining comprehensive risk registers and escalation pathways.
  • Agile Delivery: Champion Agile methodologies, facilitating sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, retrospectives, and continuous improvement cycles across development and operations teams.
  • Mentorship & Coaching: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior project managers, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and professional growth.
  • Testing & Acceptance: Coordinate functional, security, and performance testing activities, ensuring deliverables meet quality standards before release.
  • Reporting & Communication: Produce clear, concise project status reports, dashboards, and executive briefings that highlight milestones, risks, and financial performance.
  • Travel & Training: Participate in occasional on‑site training sessions, conferences, and stakeholder meetings as required (travel limited to essential events).

Essential Qualifications

To thrive in this role, you should possess the following core qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field. A high school diploma or GED is required; advanced degrees are a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience managing large‑scale technology projects, preferably within the airline, transportation, or highly regulated industries.
  • Project Management Expertise: Demonstrated mastery of project management frameworks (PMBOK, PRINCE2) and Agile practices, with a track record of delivering complex initiatives on schedule.
  • Cybersecurity Knowledge: Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles, risk assessment methodologies, and regulatory compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, PCI DSS, NIST).
  • Tool Proficiency: Hands‑on experience with project management tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Microsoft Project, or equivalent platforms.
  • Financial Acumen: Ability to develop and manage project budgets, perform financial analysis, and interpret financial statements to support decision‑making.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities, capable of influencing senior leadership and translating technical concepts for non‑technical audiences.
  • U.S. Work Authorization: Must be a U.S. citizen or hold valid authorization to work in the United States.
